4th of July '09

Had an A-MAZING 4th! This year we made a trip out to Boston, Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard to visit Matt's Aunt Fran and Uncle Pete and their two adorable kiddos.

The weekend's events:

• We flew into Boston on Thursday and stayed at the Westin (GREAT breakfast, btw!)
• Took the Peter Pan bus out to the Cape to the family's house on Friday morning.
• Took the boat to the Vineyard on Friday afternoon
• Anchored near Vineyard Haven and did our own fireworks on a little island Friday night after grilling out on the back of the boat.
• Took the dinghy to the shore Saturday morning for a yummy cafe breakfast and Chai at Mocha Motts,
• Shopped Vineyard Haven all day - Bunch of Grapes grand re-opening, lunch at Waterside Market (best chicken salad ever!), shopping at Mix - a local Vintage shop, and walked the shores.

Summersville Lake Family Vacation

Two weeks ago Matt and I met my family at Summersville Lake in West Virginia for one of the most relaxing vacations yet.  We spent almost every day and evening on the boat, did some cliff jumping, skiing, tubing and whitewater rafting.  A great time!  The house was perfect - around the corner from the lake and complete with a huge hot tub.  Who gets back from a full day in the sun and hops right into a 104 degree tub?  Lindsey.  Everyday.  She lived in there.
